No more I love you's

It feels like I've been eaten alive. I stumbled over Annie Lennox' "No more I love you's" for three weeks ago. I had of course heard it before then, but for the first time I really listened to it and I just fell apart. It's been on repeat since then and everything else then listening to it has felt utterly meaningless. I'm slowly returning to life again and to day I listened to some Simon and Garfunkel, which was great. During these weeks the work with the album has continued as planed. I forced myself to focus on what's important, even though I wanted nothing more then to put my headphones back on and turn up the volume. I don't really know a lot about Annie Lennox, except that she has a great name and that her "greatest hits" album is a goldmine. I wish I could sing like her. Talk soon.

Long time no blog

There is a reason for my silence. I'll write about it soon. Untill then, listen to this song again and again and again and again.

The party that lasted for 50 years

This weekend was great. Friday evening, we set up drums in the studio and Saturday morning we started to record the drum track for "I Love You Annie". It sounds really cool. Saturday evening we had a party, celibrating that both me and Linda are turning 25 this year. It was an amazing event. Unfortunately I forgot to pick up my camcorder. Oh well, the film will just have to start in some other way. Sunday morning, with an enormous hangover, we were in the studio again, recording drum tracks for "Welcome to Stalingrad", "Click Click" and "One Kiss". Tonight we'll continue. I'm really exited 'bout the new songs. In my mind the whole album will sound like a 50 minute version of "Walking on Sunshine". Well, maybe not the entire album, but a big part of it! Now I'm gonna have breakfast and watch the latest episode of The Ultimate Fighter. Then I'll work on some lyrics. Stay sweet.

Red and yellow and it's getting colder

I'm listening to a terrific audiobook right now. The Lurker at the Threshold by H.P. Lovecraft. Beautiful and dark. Outside my window, trees are turning red and yellow and it's getting colder and colder out there. I love autumn. Soon winter will sweep in and ruin it, but right now it's almost heartbreaking.
Soon I'll be finished with all the lyrics for the new album. For some reason they are all quite nostalgic. I've gotten a few very good suggestions for the album title so far. A lot of fun. Keep them coming!
